Specialist Support

Younger-Onset Dementia Support

Younger-onset dementia refers to dementia diagnosed before 65, spanning children living with rare genetic conditions through to adults in their 30s, 40s and 50s. It's an NDIS-eligible diagnosis, and Natalie has worked alongside multiple families through this journey. As a person's abilities change; distress, agitation or withdrawal are rarely random. They're often signals of pain, overstimulation, or a need that can no longer be spoken, and support starts with reading those signals.

This includes NDIS-funded Behaviour Support Plans, developed and reviewed as needs change, working alongside the family, the care team, and, for children and young people, their school. The aim is to reduce distress, protect dignity, and support quality of life at every stage.

What Guides Our Practice

Principles that shape everything we do.

Connection Over Compliance

Relationships are at the heart of meaningful support. We prioritise trust, collaboration and co-regulation, recognising that lasting change happens when people feel safe and understood.

Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice

We recognise neurodivergence as a natural part of human diversity. Our approach moves beyond deficit-based models to support autonomy, authenticity and individual strengths.

Rights, Dignity & Quality of Life

Positive Behaviour Support is about far more than reducing behaviours of concern. We are committed to protecting human rights and supporting self-directed lives.

Reflective & Ethical Practice

We believe the best outcomes come from curiosity and ongoing reflection, grounded in evidence-informed practice.
